Vérité is a suite of four songs conceived of over four days and best experienced as one piece. It is a meditation on newly learned production techniques and a liberating mic-in-hand recording style. It covers the themes of connection, communication, transition and disruption. As a whole, it seeks to undermine a singular narrative by subsuming it within a vocal collage of hesitations, whispered invocations, celebratory calls and directives to the audience. This polyphonic soundscape draws on Bollywood, Hip-Hop, RnB and Beat-music as a whole. Dipping into narrative and back out into abstraction this piece is an instinctive reaction to my personal desire for newness.

A few years back a dear friend and musician offered me a collection of his sounds as samples. He is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist musical and intellectual tour de force. He has been and still is one of the most inspirational figures in my life. I credit him with every guitar, cello and harp sound. I credit him with so much more also. This record is a husk without our friendship.
